This description of Bubble Gum Modern appeared for the 2018 Palm Springs Modernism Week House Tour:

After about a year of searching, we finally found our Palm Springs dream home in the Racquet Club Estates in May 2017 and couldn’t be happier. There were many things that attracted us to this home. Having met the architect William Krisel on a Palm Springs Modernism Week house tour about 5 years earlier, we loved that we were now owners of an Alexander Co./Krisel home and a fairly pure one at that without awkward additions. We love that our immediate neighborhood is quiet, filled with other mid-century homes, and feels like a step back in time to a bygone era, while also so close to Victoria Park. We especially love our huge lot with insane, unobstructed mountain views.

Most of the interior changes that we made were relatively simple—painting extensively, installing hanging light fixtures and black-out shades, making a few small bathroom modifications, and picking out furnishings. Originally, our outdoor space was largely just the pool, rocks, and minimal landscaping; thus, our big renovation project was really to improve our back-yard space. We worked with a local architectural landscape design firm to create and implement a beautiful, playful, and functional design that would also resonate with our mid-century home. The recently-completed outdoor space has really transformed our living experience at our home and achieved our goals for having a great place to entertain and also a serene place to relax.
